No. At the end of the day, as long as he's doing it on the pitch, who cares what he's doing off it? Besides, maybe it's because I'm a student, but all I can think is "classic banter".
Banter if you're a student, severe unprofessionalism and misconduct if you're a working professional, and make repeated similar actions.
I think it may be handled similar to Rovers, when they released Ben Cockayne, not wanting to bring rugby into it though.
Jimmy's problem is that the club are desperate to get shot of him so if he's given them enough rope to hang him then he needs help or is just plain stupid.
I'm sure the club want to sack him and are looking at every possible avenue to do so. However then we would need to bring in a creative midfielder.
Frustrating thing is I thought he was going to put it all in for us after everything, so it's a let down. Maybe it's not true like you said before but its looking more like it is when you read about. (reply to Percy)
Would they really sign a disgraced footballer? I don't think it'll come to that though, nor should it.
If Coventry signed King after what he did, I think QPR would, he'd be a cheap replacement for Taarabt. Altohugh I do agree with you in thinking that he won't be sacked.
The poll is asking a different question to the thread. Should he be sacked? If the rumours are true, then certainly. Will he be sacked? No, the normal misconduct procedures that exist in business don't appear to extend into professional football. Here's hoping he's already been issued with a final written warning and that normal business rules apply.
I've not been around on the forums or any other football news site much the past few days, so is there any chance somebody can point me to a thread detailing this / tell me what it is Jimmy has done now?
Assuming he was sacked so what if he does? He'd be off our wage bill, and we've been saying all summer if they offered to pay his wages then they could have him for free, so what would be the difference?
