I listened to the match on Radio Humberside and all three presenters said he should have gone in the second half for a foul. The ref never even gave a free kick. Should he have been sent off ? And would that have changed the result or were we just too strong for Scunny?

Absolutely NOT ! You must have been listening to that tosser Dave Burns, that clown along with his puppet Swanny couldn't describe what they were seeing even if they walked in thier own bedrooms and found the milkman stuck up the wifes Arse.

It would have been a harsh sending off, we should have had a free kick a few seconds earlier, so the ball shouldn't even have been in play and they'd been conning the ref all match, so **** 'em.

I was there and on the way home David Burns BA (Hons) repeated ad nausia that there were questions about some tackle that Gerrard made. When was it? I never saw anything anywhere. The only that I could think of was a blatent dive from one of their forwards towards the end of the first half when there were two players involved in a tussle which Garner (I think) decided he would do a Tom Daley style effort to try to con the ref. The ref was right in front of this incident and from where I weas stood and all the fans around us points' of view, we could nt understand why he wasnt bokked for diving. Was there something else that I missed?

Yes Mr Burns, Swanny and some Scottish guy who use to play for Scunthorpe. I think the Scottish guy was swearnig throughout the game and Burnsy was obsessed with the portly linesman.
Good result and I'm looking forward to the Prreston game.

and why did they insist on telling the listeners so many times that the last 5 - 1 away win was at Northampton and Dean Windass was the last City player to score a hat-trick. And the to cap it all at the close of the show - David Burns BA (Hons): ".....one last closing text from Gwylym." Gwylym Lloyd - "...the last time Hull City scored 5 away from home was at Northampton and Dean Windass was the last City player to score a hat-trick for Hull City." David Burns BA (Hons): "....thanks for that Gwylym....." Truely Professional coverage!!!!!!!!!

Going from the KCFM commentary the one I assume they're talking about was not long after he got booked. Miller went down on the edge of the area and Scunny were apparently going mental about not getting the freekick. Commentater said Gerrard was lucky it wasn't given as he could have been in trouble having already been booked. Don't remember it being mentioned again after that though.

The incident in question was just after the massive dive. In my opinion Gerrard did take the guy out and it was worth a booking. However as NP explained it should have been a free kick to us before that as Chester was fouled. Also, Gerrard should not have been booked because it was Garner being a cheating twat, and Gerrard getting booked for it. The ref was under Baraclough's thumb all the first half because of his comments on the radio saying he needed a 'strong refereeing performance', in other words he needed him to let Garner do as he pleased and penalise anyone marking him. It wasn't a booking, but the 2nd one probably was.
