because I actually believe him that it’s got a whole different meaning in the culture he is familiar with. Suarez said the same and there is plenty evidence to suggest that is the case.

People trying to spin it a bit by saying it’s worse than Suarez’s on field raw emotional spat because it was a conscious choice to write it on his tweet. They’re not faking listening and obviously ignoring the fact that in their culture it has a different understanding.

I think the FA will ban him for a shorter period than Suarez because they’re the FA and that’s what they do when they have an example to make of somebody, but comparing this to Suarez kicking Evra because he was black and calling him Negro whilst pinching his skin is desperate from the bindippers.

Had he called somebody a Negro as a derogatory term I’d expect the same 8 match ban, but in context it’ll probably be 2-3 games.

And there was never any shred of evidence that Suarez called him/referred to him as 'negro' more than once (for which he should rightly have been banned for four games), and that evidence came from Suarez himself. There was evidence that Evra started the confrontation though by running after Suarez and telling him, in Spanish, to go and **** his sister, but that is an apparently common 'exclamation' for a Frenchman to say according to the FA panel that was really hoping for video evidence of what Evra originally claimed Suarez called him.

One game ban at most would be fair given the context. Rio got a ****ing fine for worse.
