Shortest reign of a Hull City manager

Who has the honour of being the manager of City for the shortest time?

In terms of permanent:

In my life time of being a City fan, from my memorex, Colin Appleton second time round?

Or would Dowie be shorter? Can't remember if he was installed as the permanent manager or until end of season caretaker.

 

Permanent managers it was Bobby Collins, about a month shorter than Appleton second time around, 4 months.
Apart from Billy Russell who only had one game, the best percentage of wins since the war was Bobby Brown, somewhat surprisingly when he was caretaker manager followed by .Appleton who took over from Brown. Phelan at the moment has the next best though that doesn't look as it may be the case in the near future.

 

I would have thought Molby & Parkinson would be short reigns, they lasted until September ish!

Didn't realise Molby only had 17 games, Dowie must have been caretaker then? Did Barmby manage a full season?

 

Dowie was classed as a football management consultant or something equally as ****e rather than. Manager or head coach
