I wish they'd invent a rule where these were banned. Such frustrating things. You chuck 6 players in the box and you pass it to a man right next to you who will, according to research I've never carried it, 99% of the time proceed to **** it up.

It's beacuse the corner takers for most teams aren't good enough to put a decent ball into the box.

Wouldnt have a rule about it, but I wish we wouldnt do them unless we didnt have any takers and Jonas was just playing it to Jose.

Basically, what w did yesterday was get Barton (who can cross) to pass the ball to Jonas (who cant cross) to either hit the first man or pass it backwards to Tiote. And this after scoring twice from corners! Baffling.

I've noticed that Barton has tried the old 'pass to Colo' trick a few times now and Colo has ****ed it up every one of them in recent games.

It was great a while ago, Wigan game springs to mind where he had a volley at goal and an 18 yard header! Could be a nice trick to work on in training, considering Colo's technical ability.

I think so, but you will rarely get a team that defends that poorly against it.

I do get frustrated when a short corner goes wrong, as at least a first time delivery has some chance, but if it moves the angle of the delivery successfully then it's a good option.

Summary - if you can do a short corner well then knock yourself out, if you're us then leave it to Joeys wand of a right foot ;)
