Professional Photographer Daniel Lewis has posted up a collection of Saints-related pictures he took during the 00's, and thought some may be interested. LINK: http://www.daniellewisphoto.com/shooting-the-saints DTLW
Very good in the main. I remember seeing the b/w CMFG crossed arms photo in a publication - maybe Beautiful South.
Great photos, thanks for the link. Marian Pahars celebrating his goal against the skates a particular favourite.
Now there was a nice bloke. I met him twice and I have a signs shirt up in my office. The only non-saints thing I entertain.
Fabulous album. I love the one of the old sign in the bricks outside The Dell car park. Also a quick shot of the old Uefa cup kit. I liked that; we should get it again. Also thnonenof the cup final with the bloody roof on. That didn't need to be on that day.
I think we two are the only ones who actually like[d] that kit. At the time most people loathed it, according to Saints forums of the era.
I contacted him as well. He said he didn't have any plans to sell copies of any of the photos but after the interest he had from myself and several others he was now considering it.
Excellent stuff. He should consider putting those in a book and try to sell it via the Club shop, I'd certainly buy it.
I definitely loathed it. Was worth getting knocked out early just so that kit hardly ever saw the light of day.
Comparing it to one or two of the projected disasters that Saints may or may not wear in the forthcoming season, I'd say it was a model of design. Granted, the blank reverse side was poor, but that was said to be because commentators would have difficulty making out the numbers. Of course, the blank could have been reduced in size to just accommodate the number on the shirt, but I suspect the kit designer's ambition exceeded their talent, in this instance.
