According to the commentators (one of whom was Steve Brown) Wycombe were a different team as soon as Blooms came on. Certainly sounded exciting from that point until half time. It's passion that is missing in the team so maybe that's what made the difference.

Blooms was excellent today. I have said that I don't think he is up to league 1 anymore, which I will stand by until he puts in a consistent run like today and against better sides than Chesterfield. I would love him to as I've always been a big fan of his.

Ive always been a fan of Matty B. I do agree though, that he needs to put in this kind of display more consisitantly. Still well chuffed with the result!! <party>

I think we can see that a bottom of the table clash needs a player like Matty B. Chasing, harrying and putting his foot in. The problem comes when we face better teams and then he lacks the creativity and looks short of quality.
Basically a fine league 2 player, but not sure about his League 1 credentials from this showing

Either way it does prove he is needed in this squad this season. And if we go down he will also be needed next season.

As people have said before, it's winning games like this that will save us, not results against the bigger sides. Therefore Blooms still has a part to play.
