With our current striker crisis, we've had to get in an emergency Kuqi, but could shola be back in action sooner than expeted?

Other, lesser players have combated a broken cheekbone by wearing a face mask:

Rubbish superhero. has the power to shag your missus

As we all know, Shola's not bothered about playing injured, and playing for so long with an injured hip to help out his beloved toon may well have contributed substantially to him never reaching his full potential. Despite his current injury Sir Shola will surely solider on, with a certain suaveness that eludes Terry. I imagine with his protective gear on Ameobi will be more like this:

Dashing black-and-white-clad masked outlaw,
much too cunning and foxlike for bumbling defenders to catch,
but he delights in publicly humiliating those same foes.

Our strikers are fragile as glass though. Ameobi gets a bump to the back of the head and his cheek bone shatters, Harper gives Best a tap on the arse and now Leon's doubtful for the next match.
