That nasty Paolo, making the boys play so badly- boo, hiss, shame on you.
What.....? Paolo's been gone for 6 months?
Hang on, this is hardly The da Vinci code, but I think I just may be onto something.
THE PLAYERS WERE/ARE/AND ALWAYS WILL BE POOR.

So Poyet has massively over achieved then based on this theory.

If Poyet keeps you up = Jesus.

The fact he's even made it a possibility makes him = Merlin or something.

Nemo you are correct. We have stuck with these poor players far too long. They will take us down just in time for them to walk away from the club and into sparkly new contracts elsewhere.

The attempt to replace them in the summer was a shambles.

We all know the players aren't anywhere near good enough, the fact that we are at this point after years of investment from 2 consecutive good boards is an absolute sickener.

I'll bet 60% of the people using this forum could have spotted & suggested better players to the board, for less money.

PDC was right about the squad, but the way he put it across was so thoroughly unprofessional he had to go, Poyet has managed to say the players are short of what's required without alienating them, but he can't make a **** into a swan.

At least you didn't go to Norwich pal.

Sunderland fans on here were blaming the home support for our poor home form & saying we are better away from home. are they going to blame our away fans next? clueless idiots I say like.

Anyone with half a brain knew the problem was the players, anyone with a bit of intelligence remembered this when others were hanging PDC out to dry. Yes PDC did things different and the players didn't like it, the Fact that a lot of folk thought he was the problem is absolute laughable, no doubt some of the same people who forgive bardo and want him to sign a new 40k a week contract despite the fact he can't pass, can't attack and is a average defender. PDC had to go no doubt, but this situation if the players fault and nobody else.
