Billy Bragg too must have said something or written a tuneless piece of ****e for it? David Milliband surely must have resigned or something or maybe there weren’t political headlines to grab back then? What about all the other tossers who jumped on the band wagon?
Have to say with a big **** off to all those mentioned trhere cest - THIS!! No-one made anything of it - Di Canio's salute was a Lazio salute (Taken from Roman times as he was in Rome) way before the days of Nazi's - this is a Heil Hitler salute and nothing else yet this is actually the first I've seen of it!!
It's nice to see you lads aren't touchy about recent comments regarding Di Canios's appointment, you'll just make yourselves poorly...
To be fair I'm pretty sure Bosnich got into trouble for this, he made all the headlines (the news of the world put in "Nazi peice of work") and was fined etc. There was also a Greek player who did a salute in a game for Athens and was barred from ever representing his country. So it's not like others get away with it. The Di Canio thing will blow over once he's had a few games and then people will focus on his ability to do the job but don't kid yourselves that others get away with it. For the record I don't see the issue and the BBC and West Ham in particular are being rediculous given his links/ work for them.
It's been a fantastic p*ss taking opportunity for ourselves and I'm sure if we'd appointed him you lads would have been exactly the same, however in all seriousness the reaction/over reaction from a lot of quarters is a load of bollocks. I think he's a great appointment and let's hope he gets some immediate success.... Oh....other than the Derby that is.

This has backfired spectacularly on the national press hounds. I've never known our lot close ranks the way they have now.
I just find it sad that the local media don't make news out of more serious events..Like hundreds of football fans from the area going on the rampage and terrorising local footballers in the North West..This wasn't really deemed very news worthy though!!
