So I bought the new away shirt today - really liked it cause I thought it looks different to any other kits I've seen.

Just seen now that Sunderland are using the same template for their away kit and no doubt we will end up with a very similar if not the same striped template home kit.

I remember when getting new shirts was something to look forward to and that each clubs fans looked different.

Not just the same shirts in different colours.

    Any way rant over

Totally agree, Seems Madness that something so important doesn't even warrant a club by club design. I mean I can understand it lower down the leagues but we are in the Premier League for heavens sake.

It's because giving teams the same templates costs less money.

Thats all it's about these days.

PS - I saw someone wearing the full kit earlier, is it just me or does it look like a French national team kit with those red socks?

It's a **** kit. I'm not buying a kit just because "it's different". I have no idea why there is blue and red in the kit. Honestly why not pink and green.might as well.

It's a ****ing boring template that looks just like our black last season...

We're obviously small fish for them. I also think that they offer 5/6 templates then let the club choose most likely.

I just don't understand what's happened. Manufacturers are getting more and more return from their investment every year but they seem to be getting lazier and lazier. I don't get it.

Look back at the 90's kit, there were some ugly ones but not many looked the same.

And honestly I still feel annoyed about the colour. Blue and amber... maybe. I don't understand why we can't stick to one away colour. Pick one that contrasts the most, like White or blue and stick to it and play around with it.

But basically because of templates, there's no originality in design so they try it with the colours.

I honestly would rather have had green or pink.

Stop whining you knobbers. Every manufacturer does the same thing. The cream of European football get a unique kit, primarily because the manufacturers are desperate to make their kit. The vast majority don't sell anywhere near enough kits to justify the expense of a unique kit for every team. Anyway, the last time we had a genuinely unique kit it was that tragic tiger print crap

SO why have West ham got this year's nicest kits and completely bespoke. "cream of the european football" my arse

There are many other examples... Lots of German teams, including small ones have really nice Adidas and Puma kits but obviously both brands are German.

MLS kits are always really nice and different yet their football is ****.

Biggest load of bollocks. It costs them around £5 to make a shirt, they make a massive profit off shirt, even Hull city shirt. They don't need new machinery to make a different design it's just laziness and a way to make even more money.

We're gonna have the same template as Brentford FFS! A team with a capacity stadium of 12000 and a population of under about 15000

yet Sporting Kansas city a club in a country that can't play the game with a capacity stadium of 18000

get a completely bespoke kit (ugly yes but still)

Dear Nike/Adidas. We know we're small time but can you do us a favour and produce a new jut just for us. We know you don't do it for anyone else other than the big clubs and that the only other teams with their own kits are made by kappa and ****e like that but some of our followers have **** all better to do than bitch about a kit which they'll likely never by.
    Cheers, city

Britain is known as Treasure Island. Every company is trying to make money.
And it's normally us poor saps that end up paying through the eye balls for it.

Until the last two or three years these templates were unheard of and it was perfectly viable financially then.

The kits for the play off winning season were both standard Umbro templates.

I don't know where you're getting your views from.

    1) There are plenty of 'small' clubs around the world with bespoke kits.

    2) Manufacturers could make every kit in the world totally unique and still make huge profits; this being somehow 'non-viable' is a crock of ****.

It's sad some of you little princesses don't feel special. Very few teams in the 4 English leagues will have colours and stripes like ours, isn't that unique enough for you? If we had our properly unique kit back, I guarantee you little darlings would whine about it being awful and making our club a joke.

The thing about templates is that they generally are designed better than the custom versions. I think the template expected for the home kits will look good this year. Big black and amber stripes. What more do we want?

I prefer stripes but medium stripes - not skinny and not fat.

Brazil's kit always seems simple and sensible - classic.
