Judging by the pictures I've seen of the Far East tour, we have sold a shed load of shirts to the local fans. Great move by all the management at LR to do this tour and sign up Ji Sung Park!!! U Rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrs!!!!!!
I read that we had 'sold out' of shirts. Agree a great master stroke by TF and the board. 55K were at that game the other night and now QPR Twitter is non stop trending and our facebook page has 100K. He said he wants us to be a global brand and he is doing it. We are really lucky to have decent owners after the Tango and Cash show.
i think having **** shirts is a stroke of genius. The Asians will have bought the current ones in their 10s of thousands but will buy them again when we have the thick hoops back and a proper manufacturer. Its the EA sports business model!
As our shirt cannot be mistaken for another team (that little town on the way to Bristol doesn't really count) we should sell well in the Far East. Getting rid of the Malaysia logo will certainly help as most Indonesians wouldn't be seen dead in a shirt with "Malaysia" plastered all over the front! Air Asia is is nicely neutral and acceptable to all. Would be good to have a few film and music celebrities photographed in the home shirt, that would really push the sales.
You could be right, but I am NOT buying this seasons home kit. It's ****!! However the guys have played a blinder. Better than anything Flabby-o and the poisoned dwarf could have done!!
Me neither, only the 2nd and 3rd lotto kits were acceptable but I will buy next seasons one if its thicker hoops.
I seen a post on Twitter saying that 250k shirts were sold, seems a crazy number but who knows. But were they real kits or these http://www.mudah.my/QPR Men Jersey 2013-16771840.htm I guess this is the downside of being a global brand
They COULD be official merchandise couldn't they? Anyway, to a certain extent I don't care because the more our brand is seen, the better!!!
No idea where the real shirts are made but they could well be from Malaysia or Indonesia. Edit: the range of genuine Adidas/Puma/Nike stuff on sale in Jakarta is huge compared to here.
If these are genuine we are really getting ripped off in the club shop, they are £6 plus P & P But I agree with sheffordqpr the more of our brand out there the better
Don't want to get bogged down in the costs etc, but MOST of what we buy in the UK in terms of clothing/electronics is made in the far East. Labour is MUCH cheaper out there (I know because I have a factory in China), so goods are cheaper out there. Simple economics. The fact still remains that TF/AB etc have done a fantastic job for us.
Our owners are spreading the gospel according to St Jude. China, Burma, North Korea shall not fall under the Abramovich jackboot but instead become part of the family of Hoops
Flavin & Bernie tried doing similar things to Tony but Tony has gone about it the right way including loyal fans. Take note Flavio & Bernie
I was thinking that, SK and one of China or Japan. Year after that it could be the US. SK would be insane with Park playing, theyd fill their olympic stadium.
Exactly, T&C tried to freeze long time fans out. TF knows he needs us at the game as well as the sales in Asia, TF has got it spot on. I also hope our fans dont start hassling or signing at the new Koreans who come to LR, you just know Q block will try something.
