worth a watch just to see it

    Newtonmore Vs Kingussie.

It is like the worst game of hurling ever. I don't like it myself but there is a lot of skills in there that have sadly gone from hurling over the years.

Can't believe you haven't mentioned Ireland beating Australia at the rugby world cup. Only caught the last 20 minutes but I was cheering the Irish on.

I'm not really sure what the difference is between shinty and hockey if I'm being honest.

    Great result in the rugby.

If results go as expected Australia will face South Africa in the QF's & possibly New Zealand in the semi whereas Ireland would face Wales in the QF & England/France in the semi!

It is typical of Ireland to do stuff like this. They'll lose the next big game and be sent home, so I'll refrain from blowing my hole until the webb ellis trophy (named after former man united and nottingham forest midfielder and current postman neill webb and Janet ellis of blue Peter and mother of the moon faced crooner Sophie ellis bextor) is safely ensconced in Brian O' Driscoll's kit bag.

the striking in shinty in different. you can strike from both sides of the caman and you can strike in the air and pull on the ball however you please. It looks like agricultural hockey.

Same thing that happens to Celtic!!

I wonder if New Zealand would be tempted to play a reserve team against France as finishing second for them would work out far better now.

As for Shinty, anything that is anything like Hurling is not for me <ok> Playing hockey was dangerous enough, practicisng Hurling with my brother made me realise it was not my kind of sport to play <laugh>

Of course, I just don't expect Scotland to be able to beat them both though.
