Can't believe you haven't mentioned Ireland beating Australia at the rugby world cup. Only caught the last 20 minutes but I was cheering the Irish on. I'm not really sure what the difference is between shinty and hockey if I'm being honest.
Great result in the rugby. If results go as expected Australia will face South Africa in the QF's & possibly New Zealand in the semi whereas Ireland would face Wales in the QF & England/France in the semi!
It is typical of Ireland to do stuff like this. As for Shinty, anything that is anything like Hurling is not for me Playing hockey was dangerous enough, practicisng Hurling with my brother made me realise it was not my kind of sport to play
