Seems he wants to leave Man Utd in January through lack of opportunity to start games. Described as a 'play maker' he fears that his lack of games will count against him when it comes to Japansese World Cup squad. If I recall correctly, he scored three goals against us least season. I think it is agreed that we could do with a play maker but (1) is he worth a punt in January? (2) could we afford him? (3) if we could, would he want to come to Norwich after the bright lights of Manchester? (4) are we still chasing the Swedish lad Toivonen?:emoticon-0112-wonde

He is believed to want to return to Germany. I would imagine there are several teams there who would love to have him if Jurgen Klopp can't take him back to Borussia Dortmund. <ok>

Toivonen is supposed to be negotiating a new contract with PSV, with Newcastle interested in taking him in Jan if it falls through. Some Swedish reports suggest Fiorentina is the more likely destination though. In short, it could be anywhere. Certainly Joe Kinnear will never be able to get his name right on the contract.

Apparently Catherine Tate is headed to Tyneside after Joe Kinnear secured the signature of an Old Tv-nan.

Hmm, hopefully it's the taking part that counts... :D

I think it would take some kind of miracle for us to get Kagawa. He's most likely way outside our price range and would be looking to play for a top top team! Having said that, I wouldn't have expected to see someone of Fer's quality come here until after at least a few more decent seasons in the top flight.

I think we could attract more players like Fer, especially from the Dutch, Belgian, Portugese leagues where moving to the premier league is seen as a big step and they want to show case themselves. As has been seen both Fer and RVW have played for the Netherlands whilst they have been with us which shows that we are a club where people can show them selves off. I think we would be a fantastic step for a lot of young talented players.

Kagawa is different though, if I had to name a second team it would probably be Borussia Dortmund because i really enjoy there style of play. Kagawa is a fantastically talented and highly rated attacking midfielder, not a wide player as he has be used at Man U. If he he does want to move there will be many champions league clubs fighting over him. He's not a player on the way up like Fer.

Fer was a great signing for us, shows that we've come a long way as a club. But Shinji kagawa I believe was Bundesliga player of the season before he went to Utd and I can't see us signing players of that cost.

There is no way we could sign Kagawa, not even on loan.
