Mannone is decent, but like TheBear, I am delighted that Chensey is back. I was started to think his injury was that classic Arsenal one, where the player who was meant to be out for 2 weeks, returns a year later.

I don't think he was ever seriously injured, this has happened in the past, especially with our goalkeepers, when they have a sudden drop in form, get dropped from the starting line up, and magically get some injury that keeps them out for a few weeks lol. I think it's basically the Wenger way of doing things quietly without getting too much press, so rather than make a huge issue of dropping Shezza who was low on confidence, which would make headlines and drama, you just say he's injured, give him time to regain the confidence, get in better shape, and then when you feel it's time he can return, say he's back from injury.

I don't think Wenger dropped Szczesny, that's just conspiracy theory really. What we do know is that Szczesny's dip in form came when he was carrying an injury, so that figures.

Great news that he's back and great that Mannone has done so well in his absence. We've got a keeper now who will push Szczesny and keep him on his toes. Competition for the NoI spot is a good thing <ok>

Mannone is a decent shot stopper, but not a number 1 keeper for a Top Four side.

What annoyed me most when he plays is that he takes way too long to throw the ball out when we have good opportunities for counter attacks. By the time he boots the ball out the opposition will have all 11 players behind the ball again.
    Szczesny was a lot quicker.

Ahh, I knew he was out but didn't realise it was that serious - I guess we won't be seeing him for awhile...

I'd be surprised if he's ever seen again in an Arsenal shirt to be honest.

To be honest, if that's the main issue with Mannone, then it's not really a big problem.
It's an area of his game that would be quite easy to improve on.
The main job he does well, stopping shots and clearing his area.
