We lack anyone who resembles a good , hard shooting accurate shooter up front .
Shelvey is a good , hard shooting accurate shooter who I can't remember being in a position to take a shot through his job description under Monk .
Him playing in front of Siggy could be an answer imo .

Shelvey accurate shooter! You're watching a different game to me, most of his shots miss by miles.

Shelvey has a boomer of a shot and may be rusty , but I remember a couple of beautys he scored before being relegated to a sort of a defensive role under Monk. When the last time you seen him able to take a shot.'
Anything is better than what happening now
P.S not sure how the maps got there but it's beautiful country if you get a chance to visit ...lol

I agree he has a boomer of a shot and scores the occasional spectacular goal but when you look at the percentage game his shooting is not that good.

Well I think given a bit of time up front actually taking shots , he might be the way forward considering whose shooting , or should I say whose not shooting now.
Did pretty well up a bit farther than he is now under Monk , I'D like to see all the way up field for a run of games.

When you say "Shelvey: The Striker", do you mean with a left jab or an upper cut? :emoticon-0165-muscl

My line up for next game .
    Fab
    Naughton , Fernandez , Williams , Taylor
    Routledge , Ayew , Britton , Siggy , Montero .
    Shelvey
Nothing against Ki but he looks tired and disillusioned

We haven't found a position yet for Ayew, so for me it's one last chance. We have nothing to lose against Man City away.

    --------------------------Fab------------------------
    Naughton , Fernandez , Williams , Taylor
    ---------------------Cork--Leon-------------------
    ............Routledge, Siggy , Montero .
    -------------------------Ayew------------------------

If it doesn't work I'd put Ayew on the bench for the following game and play Gomis up front with the rest remaining the same.

PGF White that's the team I would have started with today but if you are going to bench Ayew I'ld rather see Emnes than Gomis because I wouldn't weep if he never plays for us again.

You know you're desperate when you start thinking about putting players out of position. You know you're batshit crazy when you put a player who can't shoot up front. Sorry roof.

I like PGF's team though. Some of us discussed this at the match today.

    This would be better:

    --------------------------Fab------------------------
    Naughton , Fernandez , Williams , Taylor
    ---------------------Cork--Leon-------------------
    ............Routledge, Siggy , Montero .
    -------------------------Bony------------------------

The Man City manager looked less than happy with Bony when he took him off today , Bony looked even less happy coming off , sell Ayew in the window and put in a bid for Bony with the money.
I think 15 million would get him back which is almost the amount we would make on Ayew who would probably love to go to Liverpooh
