Pleased for the boy. He deserves it. Hope he doesn't get injured, though, as we're going to need him this season.
If they do they're a bit thick really. The parting of Woy and LFC was hardly the most gracious and I don't see how he can be accused of favouritism towards us.
Didn't stop it happening for the World Cup with England taking Carroll, Downing, Henderson, Gerrard, Johnson and Kelly. The former three wasn't at Liverpool whilst Woy was here and he didn't exactly play to Johnson's strengths, Kelly was that much younger too
Yeah, good news and worthy recognition for the progress Shelvey's made in a short time. The injury risk is one concern,he's becoming an important member of the squad. One poster on here recently described him as a 'headless chicken' in some aspects of his game and I think that was accurate. He's got plenty of time to iron out those rough edges and become the real deal.
He's done **** all....anyone got his performance stats? He's getting picked because he plays for Liverpool.
Ok. For Liverpool he has scored 1 goal in 31 appearances (most of them as a substitute) over 2 and a bit seasons. Judging by the preferred line ups most of you lot keep posting he is a substitute in a Liverpool side who can't score and are just outside the relegation places. Both he and Sterling are now England Internationals. Go figure.
So many haters here. If any of you wums are United supporters, let me just say I'm pretty sure he would have done better than Cleverly when he was given the free role with England and failed miserably.
Well we didn't pick him for England so perhaps you should go and ask the man who did? Nice to see you're so concerned about us that you follow the stats on our players though.
I looked it up on Wiki, took 5 seconds...worth it to prove conclusively that he doesn't deserve his call up. If he performed like that for Swansea he'd have no chance would he? Be honest with yourself.
