Agreed. No place for racism in football. Lets see what the facts are.. It's odd that it has taken so long...
Any word on what he's said and to whom? agree it's a bit weird it's taken 2 months to charge him, but obviously if he has then he's a ****ing idiot.
why has it taken so long to be charged ??? so Can we expect to see Emrie summoned again surely if this was the case the aggrieved would of said it straight away and not wait 5 weeks later
If it's more than 2-3 games I'll be annoyed because violent conduct only gets 3 games usually, and violence is always worse than calling someone a name. But I can see more than that because of how much of a ****ing PC panzy everyone is when it comes to racism/sexism. Yes Racism is bad, but harshly punishing it is not the way forward.
This is an odd one as I've not heard any mention of it since the game and I'm not sure which player it was aimed at. I'm a facts person so until it's been reported/ investigated its hard to have strong opinions about this particular matter but suffice to say that if he has actually been silly then he deserves whatever he gets. There's no place for it and it is up to the FA to set examples, so far they have mostly just paid lip service to fighting discrimination.
This stinks of the old Emre situation at Everton, from reading what NUFC.com are saying. http://www.nufc.com/ Very funny how it was a team mate, also anyone else think Wolves are more bothered about stopping us than doing well themselves. Hope they go down. Though if Shelvey is guilty then he has let us all down and has to take responsibility for his actions.
Don't entirely agree. If for instance he kicked a player because he didn't like them I think that wouldn't be a bad as if he said he hated him because he was black - he is part of a team/ sport/ country which is made up of a variety of peoples and that sort of poisonous attitude is worse than a scuffle. I have no idea what the allegations are and he's innocent until proven guilty but if he's found guilty then alongside any punishment from the FA I hope he has to explain himself openly to the rest of our squad as you don't want divisions to fester - teamwork is everything. If I was a black player I would have refused to play for England whilst Terry was chosen and i was never comfortable when we had Bowyer at the club given his 'previous'.
"Shelvey's absence from the latest England squad despite widespread calls for his inclusion may also now be explained..... " ... by him not being good enough to play for England. (I assume was the end of the sentence). He's a very good player, excellent in the championship but so was Barton last season. If he does it in the Premiership then he's got an England shot but not this season.
I agree about waiting to see what the facts are before passing judgement......BUT.....if he has done it then he deserves the book thrown at him. No place at all for this - in football or in life!
A young tw@t of a roofer called me a baldy old c@nt 3 weeks ago after I kindly asked him to tidy up all the mess he'd made on the scaffold. After the " baldy old c@nt " chinned him and explained that I was born bald and a c@nt but not old he appeared to be a bit confused.
