Shefki Kuqi should start against Manchester United and play against Nemanja Vidic.
Kuqi is albanian From Kosova and would like to play with his heart against Vidic and I am sure that if he get's a start he will give 130% and will score....hope he will be in startin 11.....or at least gett's 30 minutes......come one toon armyyy.

You think that his country of origin is going to suddenly make him able to break down the Manchester United defence and score goals?

No chance, I like the bloke and I'm sure he could do a job as a sub but the game will just pass him by. He's painfully slow and Vidic & Co wouldn't give him half a yard. Could rough things up later in the game if the scoreline is close or if we need another target man.

No. Impact sub.. yes. He's a average Championship striker IMO. Rio and Vidic will have him in there back-pockets with ease. He's a target man.. yes. He's strong.. yes. He's good in the air.. yes. Apart from that.. he's rubbish.

It's Extra motivation just like the support of toon army for geordie people who wore black and white shirt....I know Kuqi personally and know well that he will give his life in the field to score against the ManU.... and make the eagle celebration in front of Vidic eyes.

It's a nice sentiment but he could play with all his heart and love for his homeland yet the fact would remain that Vidic regularly performs well against premier league quality forwards so Kuqi, being at best Championship quality, wouldn't really have a good chance.

We'd be best off playing somebody lightning quick. Vidic can't handle pace, at all. It's what prevents him from being truly world class.

Is he though? He's really not that quick. How quick is Airey?

I think people are expecting too much of Kuqi, he is purely a stop gap and Pardew said himself he will only play if things get VERY desperate. I think Airey is probably ahead of him in the pecking order.

Swap Barton and Guthrie around then yes. But Pardew has already said that Ireland is starting on the bench, which means we can expect Loverman and Ameobi up front :(
