This time though its the blue side of Sheffield. Having stormed league 1 last season with a very small squad, Bristol city go into the weekends game with only 17 recognised players with 1 of them out and another doubtful. However it's not been all bad this summer with the addition of Ligue 2 player of the year Jonathan Kodjia. Signed from French side Anger for 2.1 million, the forward will be chucked in at the deep end as he finds his feet in a new country. Sheffield Wednesday though have had a completely different summer, unlike Bristol City they have signed a great number of players, 9 in fact. Most notably Nacional forward Marco Matias who scored 20 goals in Portugal's top flight last season. However with all these new players and new manager Carlos Carvalhal, Wednesday could struggle against the highly motivated and already settled team in Bristol city as they are still getting used to a new environment, tactics and team mates SkyBet Championship Table 1 Birmingham 0 0 0 2 Blackburn 0 0 0 3 Bolton 0 0 0 4 Brentford 0 0 0 5 Brighton 0 0 0 6 Bristol City 0 0 0 7 Burnley 0 0 0 8 Cardiff 0 0 0 9 Charlton 0 0 0 10 Derby 0 0 011 Fulham 0 0 0 12 Huddersfield 0 0 0 13 Hull 0 0 0 14 Ipswich 0 0 0 15 Leeds 0 0 0 16 MK Dons 0 0 0 17 Middlesbrough 0 0 0 18 Nottm Forest 0 0 0 19 Preston 0 0 0 20 QPR 0 0 0 21 Reading 0 0 0 22 Rotherham 0 0 0 23 Sheff Wed 0 0 0 24 Wolves 0 0 0 Sheffield Wednesday please log in to view this image A Little Bit About Them Full name Sheffield Wednesday Football Club Nickname(s) The Owls Founded 1867; 148 years ago (1867) as The Wednesday Ground Hillsborough, Owlerton, Sheffield Ground Capacity 39,732 Owner - Dejphon Chansiri Head Coach Carlos - Carvalhal 2014–15 The Championship, 13th Danger Men Tom Lees Lewis Mgugan Marco Matias (Pictured) please log in to view this image Bristol City please log in to view this image A Little Bit About Us Full name - Bristol City Football Club Nickname(s) - The Robins, The Reds, Cider Army. Normally always go away first game of season, but the four of us will not pay £40.00 per a ticket crazy price.
Me and my mate were going to go up but when you add what you'll be paying all together it isn't worth it. Plus don't fancy driving to Sheffield anyway.
I'll be at Trent Bridge but getting updates from any source I can. I will have left Trent Bridge having watched England thrash Australia and will be in the Royal Oak keeping tabs on all the latest scores. Oh happy day!
I will be in the south of France, but my eyes, ears and heart will be in south Yorkshire Should have hid the scissors I guess
One more day to go! Anyone think there will be another singing to be done before tomorrows kick off? Rumour has it one is suppose to be joining today, but I think we've heard that line all summer.
I will be at the game, (driving up) along with my grandson & two friends, although I can understand the boycott, the prices are a rip off...we will rub it into the foriegn owner by winning 3-1.
I predict a score draw. I'll be clearing out one of my houses, after my last lot of tenants thoroughly trashed the place before leaving owing me 2 months rent. Scumbags - but a protected species under the law.... I'll have Sky Sports News playing on my phone whilst shovelling ****.
I'll be at home plastering my bathroom. Will have the radio on in the background praying for 3 points! Put a bet on this morning. Bristol City to win 2-1 with Kodjia being first goal scorer. £2.50 placed and if I win its £165 return! Doubt I will though but you never know!
I'll be playing golf at the New Forest golf club, hopefully I'll get a signal and be able to follow the score. C O Y R
I will be at the Balloon fiesta sending money on over priced rides to keep the kids happy but will be listening on my phone
Can I change my previous post on this thread please to...... I will have left Trent Bridge having watched England thrash Australia and will be in the Royal Oak keeping tabs on all the latest scores. Oh happy day!
Thank God football is back!! Time to forget about cricket [emoji42] and filling the void with political debates [emoji19]
Talking of Cricket.. I have found a new phenonomen called Auslift, Where when I actually stop and watch the Ashes on TV or a screen somewhere the Aussies play really well despite the fact they are ****! however, every time I turn the TV off England seem to become world beaters when I'm not watching!
