At a time when the Owls sit in 23rd position in the table, Watford are 10th but within touching distance of moving into the playoff spots. With seven wins from 19 matches in charge of Sheffield Wednesday, it is fair to say that the jury is still out on Danny Rohl with the club some way adrift of safety. Although six points have been collected from their last four fixtures in the Championship, Wednesday have not been helped by the teams above them keeping their respective tallies ticking over. Just two defeats have been posted in 13 matches in all competitions, Watford currently on a six-game undefeated streak, albeit with four draws. Both of their victories came by 2-1 scorelines against Chesterfield and Queens Park Rangers, performances that were hardly convincing, but Ismael will be satisfied with the response. In the reverse fixture between these sides in October, Watford ran out 1-0 winners courtesy of a late goal from Yaser Asprilla. I see we have a lady as a fourth official. I wonder if ear muffs are a part of the official kit in this situation?
Was going to the original game...sadly a bit of an old git for a dark and cold night in Sheffield without my family crew.....
Me too. Hotel booked (moved to the Rotherham game) and everything! Had a bad dose of the lurgy last week so I'd have never managed the drive on Friday. Just as well the Southaampton game was on the Sunday, just about over it, or at least the worst, by then.
A win tonight, and we will be just one point off the top six. I am not counting my chickens though, as Wednesday will be desperate to earn some points to help in their relegation fight.
Ive shifted over to the hive for commentary etc.... and they are a good few seconds ahead of fawa.... currently
