Nope. Plenty of other managers out of work with a championship pedigree.
I cant see Sheff U looking at MA.

I reckon that old Blackpool boss will get the nod. Appleton?

    I hope so anyway :emoticon-0107-sweat

We are going to have to live with this now - MA bound to be linked to every club that needs a manager

No way, silly people betting on him going there, why leave the team he has just got promoted to L1 for one that is struggling up there.

I will start to be concerned when the Championship season ends and a bunch of manager get shown the door, he won't go for less than that level now.

EDIT And before anyone says it, Yes they are in the playoff positions but for a team the size and history of Sheffield Utd they would want to be automatics/solid championship level.

Thats a bloody hard job to take on, much like the Bradford job, the fans ALWAYS expect.

I have not followed any manager rumours with any clubs but regardless I think MA should stay with us for another season. Otherwise we will just end up with another rebuilding exercise under a new manager. I know MA's and Scally's goal will be promotion for a second season but I will settle for anything that results in us just holding our own in League One has long as it is decent football and bringing our youth up through the ranks.

Once the team has then settled in the third tier, MA has then done his work and should be free to leave if he so chooses but not until the end of the 2013/14 season. Obviously if MA is successful next season by achieving a satisfactory season, then Scally will need to do his work by persuading MA to stay for one final push. Then beyond that we will have to wait and see what the future or fate brings.

Agree entirely brb, why would he want to work in a dump like Sheffield anyway?

It will do Allen's reputation no end of good to stick out the contract, but I wouldn't blame him for wanting to take the role. That said there are very few poor bookies so only a fool would not take the odds seriously

    Er, money?

Unfortunately loyalty is not a priority in football these days, but I get the impression that MA has a good relationship with PS, which I think is something that MA would take into consideration.
