Another home game,
We should beat Sheffield Utd , is this the game where Frank rests players?
Not for me. The top 4 is crowded and every point counts double right now.
I'd put out the strongest team we have, then take the international break to rest up, and step up again which we need to do in this weird season.
I'd give Ziyech a run beside Mount in midfield, where Havertz played in our best performance of the season.
Why not, he has everything needed to do it well. Then CHO can start and the attack is not weakened by the loss of Havertz.
If I see Jorginho in midfield again, then I will join the "Frank Out" campaign. Jorginho has proven dozens of times he cannot control the midfield , and he should never play that role for us again.
Mendy
James Zouma Silva Chilwell
Kante
Ziyech Mount
CHO Abraham Werner

Assuming all are fit, and Pulisic and Havertz aren't, that's my team.

Don’t think Ziyech can play as a no 8

Werner needs a rest

not his biggest fan but Jorg was good on Wednesday

Think he may rest Werner for this one hoping not though. Just keep Slug out of it we'll be fine.

You're probably right on all 3 counts, but we really need a win this game it's so congested above us. How about we play Werner for half a game then bring on Giroud?
I reckon Ziyech could play in goal, he's so good, but true, not a real no.8
Jorg did play OK on wednesday, but he still didn't do enough to win the main roll in Midfield for me. He just doesn't get the team flowing , too much sidewards and backwards, and very little goes through the middle when he plays.

agree mate

jorg can play some killer through balls but does not do it enough

"jorg can play some killer through balls" When did this happen I must have been looking the other way. If they are killer balls they kill our attacks and kill any forward movement for us.

well, one a game...

Pass v Saints for Timo second was vg
Good scoreline in the end from a tired looking team. They livened up mid second half which was impressive, but did looked knackered for periods. They get a decent rest now which will be needed. Those who go to Internationals I hope will not be overplayed, as Ziyech was looked after by his National coach last time.

Great recovery from an early setback, great attitude from the boys to o in 2-1 up. Don’t agree we looked tired whatsoever. Second half we controlled the game without any fear they could hurt us. Ziyech was immense.

No we didn’t look tired at all, could have played forever

however we should not burn out Werner. Hopefully we can get Puli fit

Anyone think HIAG could mentally handle a possible title race between Spurs and Chelsea this season if it worked out that way? :bandit:

another great win by us. Even though it's the small fry we have been beating up on recently, it's good as i feel recently we have struggled against park the bus sides so watching the likes of ziyech unlocking those compact sides is good

Even though it's the "small fry" we are certainly improving game by game in our teamwork, and starting to look like a "joined up" team. Very heartening is that all players are improving individually, and positionally the defence is heaps better, the mids are more attacking and the front men are starting to look more lethal.
