Adkins on takeover There’s been talks of a possible takeover for several years. The owner not so long ago has said he’s actively looking to sell. I can’t control that but we’ll see what happens in future. I’d like to think I’ll be kept aware of it. I’ve asked about it several times and i’ve been at several clubs when it has happened. it’s a long way to go until that happens i’m led to believe. The owner said he wants to sell down the line. I’m sure there will be plenty of people who want to become owners. You have to keep the environment right at the training ground when there’s talk like this. We have a good culture here. Adkins on injury news Jackson Irvine came off other night with an Achilles injury and there’s a chance he’ll be fit on Saturday. George Long, it’s the same for him, he had a late illness against Leeds. I’m not saying Jackson is fit but it’s been very stop start since the World Cup. It was unfortunate he came off the other night but he’ll want to put himself forward for the international break with Australia. He has great energy, he wants to keep improving all of the time. Adkins on sale timeframe I don’t know is the perfectly honest answer. Until something is actually close to being done it’s not done. I can’t control that. I think it should be kept private until it’s done. Adkins asked: Is sale in best interest? Is the club an attractive one? New ownership might change the budget, it might not. It’s been hanging over the club for a few years now and the owner has publicly stated so. Ideally if there’s going to be a change, it gets done sooner rather than later but the owners want the club’s stability there. We all want the stadium to be full and the team playing great football that the fans are going to enjoy. It’s a club that has historically been at Championship level, in Europe in the Premier League, a great football club. The way the finances are, it’s a business, they have to cut the cloth accordingly. Adkins on potential budgets I joined the club in December, the budget has been changed, recruitment is another side of things that has changed. The owner wants stability, the club cuts its cloth accordingly. Depending on the new owners, depends on the financial budgets they’re looking to implement across the board. In the meantime, I’ll focus on the players. Adkins on Sheffield United The supporters are really passionate, I enjoyed my time there. Chris Wilder has done a great job up there.
Al @ajrgrahamm Blades fan Josh Wainwright sadly lost his second battle with Lymphoma Cancer on Sunday night aged just 22. His last wishes were to meet the players and Chris Wilder which were sadly unfulfilled. As a mark I’d respect please join in a one min applause in the 22nd min against hull.
Play Stewart and Henriksen in midfield that way we will dominate possession and have that added bite. After playing Barcelona it's going to be tough against Real Madrid.
