For what it's worth, feeling Sears/ Bishop will start in a 4-3-3.

Hoping for a reaction, going to predict 3-1 town in a surprisingly open/ attacking game. Mings was shocking at Rotherham, I think Parr will come in at LB.

I think your right......I think the players could over the last month gotta bit ****ty pants over being at the top and felt the pressure a little, maybe this is why MM has kept Tabb in the starting line up for his experience,....but Tuesday will see us going a little bit more adventurous from the start....I hope.....

Pretty sure in the 4-4-2 the main reason Mick picks Tabb wide left is he doesn't trust Mings fully. Positionally he is a liability at times and he can be defensively.

It's just gotta be 4-3-3!!! PLEASE!

Hey Hoppers, we can agree on that team! young fresh legs and attacking formation from the off. Dont mind if Didsy doesnt start tbh, give him a rest and give Ambrose his head and create things. He played well last time out. Important game this, so lets hope MM goes for these changes.

I also think that on reflection, our squad and performances found the whole FA cup thing too much of a good thing. Since that time, Derby & Cup games, our senior players have all been out of sorts. Win Tuesday night in style, bring back Jonny, and rotate players much more and keep blooding and believing in Youth!

I know a lot of people are calling for Chambo to move back into the middle because he doesn't offer much going forwards but I think this is really highlighted by the fact that there isn't somebody in front of him taking on the full back. With a decent winger in front of him we wouldn't notice his lack of attacking prowess so much.

The reason we want Chambers back in the middle is because he just isn't a natural Right Back and he gets done time and time again by a pacey Winger! It's got nothing to do with attacking prowess! Jonny Parr just has to start at Right Back and for the life of me I just don't understand why Mick doesn't start him! We haven't had a specialist full back in that position for at least 5 Years and when we sign one he doesn't get played! You have to play your best players in their best positions and Chambers is being wasted out wide. I would take Smithy out of the side for a while and play Chambers with Berra. Parr is a great asset that isn't being used. It's a bit like having a Porsche in the Garage but preferring to use a Lada instead!

I hear you JWM and do agree that he is not suitable at RB compared to playing him centrally.
I was just saying that he may look a bit better in that position if the winger in front of him was doing the business, leaving him less exposed and also giving the opposition left sided players something to worry about so that they couldn't go at him so often. Nobody's worried about Ando so they attack at will down that side without fearing of leaving a gap behind.

With Parr @ Rb and us playing a 4-3-3 taking the game to the opposition teams would s*** their pants.

Seriously hope we go for it home to Wendy. We're 4 points ahead of 7th, so should it backfire and us lose we'll still be top 6.

Which brings me to a question, should we line up 4-3-3 at home v Sheff Wednesday, and lose, will people say " fair play Mick for giving it a go " or slate him regardless? Should we line up like this, and Sheff Weds do a number on us, would anyone say " maybe you know best Mick ? "

It's quite funny being a fan really. We all have our viewpoint, ideas. General viewpoint is 4-3-3, Parr RB, Tabb NEVER @ LM in a 4-4-2. We're all pretty much in agreement regarding this. However, Mick who watches every single player in training will have his reasons to pick the sides he does at times. He's a very astute manager. If we win " the lads were terrific" if we lose " they were brilliant ". When asked on transfer targets he gives NOTHING away. Mick knows quite well how to handle the press, it's like getting blood out a stone! Unlike Keane who would say stuff like " Martin's training with the youngsters " ......

There aren't tonnes of players linked with us on TWTD because we don't leak what we're after ! Shows everyone is united.

17 games to go guys, I'm always going to get behind us. Come on lads, put it right Wednesday.

Course Mick's arrogant to a degree Spanish but you cannot tell me a lot aren't.

Keane certainly trumps Mick in the arrogant stakes!

I get the impression that Mick will bring back Parr at RB and drop Smith (again)... Something that we would all be happy to see (harsh on Smith)

with two natural full backs we will look a lot more balanced and I fancy we'll go for a fluid 442 / 433 with Tabb able to shuffle into a midfield 3 and Bish able to push a little further forward.

    Bart
    Parr | Chambo | Berra | Mings
    Bish | Bru | Skuse | Tabb
    Murph | Sears

Wouldn't be a massive reshuffle in terms of personnel but a slightly different system should see us play considerably better <ok>

    Im going for hoppers team.

Got a feeling it will be 5-0 win to us, Goldy x2, Murph x2 and skuse with a screamer from 25 yards.

    " (harsh on Smith) "

Well, he messed up vs Derby. Parr has done nothing wrong, and balance has to come before sentiment for me. Unfortunately for Tommy, he's the third best at CB.

Sears apparently nailed on to start, hoping Bish does.
