... smashes up his car and probably couldn't care less.

It's people like this that make ordinary supporters wonder why they bother.

"Sheffield United are investigating images on social media which appear to show French forward Lys Mousset's crashed Lamborghini."

"SY police say they arrested two men on suspicion of drink driving after an incident in Sheffield in the early hours of Monday morning."

He’s part of a team that’s got 2 points but he has (had) a motor like that. Modern football is pathetic.

He's French, living in the UK.

    I'm English, living in France.

If I did this I'd be deported and not allowed to work in this country.

To be fair I think in open and shut cases I can agree with that. There needs to be a deterrent. He will get a slapped wrist, a driving ban and possibly a fine at the most.

And that's how it should be IMO. If your invited to live/work in another country you abide by their rules, and if you break them you lose your rights in that country to stay.

Crossing the road at the wrong place? Speeding? Littering? Failing to clear the snow from the pavement outside your house?

Petty breaches but I think you really meant a serious rule breach and I would go along with that.

Agree totally if he was drunk. Drink driver killed my cousin and drive off (on a footpath). Anyone who drink or drug drives deserves nothing. No sympathy or anything

Aye its mental isn't it. Just looked, he's a forward who has scored 9 goals in 90 top flight appearances (for reference Danny Graham also has about a 1 in 10 Premier League record, so let's not beat about the bush, he's a bit ****). Crazy that being as bang average as that can bring such rewards in football.

I don't mind the best players making a fortune. The money they can earn their clubs is phenomenal. Hell in some ways I look at what they earn compared to film stars and think they could justify more. But some of these bang average plodders earning that kind of money and acting like dick heads with it, it's just depressing. Where's the motivation for these kids to improve when they get so much for so little?

Really sorry to hear that mate. And I agree, drink drivers are absolute scum. For me, if you have a drink and decide to drive, you know that you're a risk to others. If you end up killing an innocent person because of your own selfishness, recklessness and stupidity you should be met with a very hefty prison sentence. It's not some unavoidable accident, and they should be punished appropriately. It's disgusting when you see someone given a highly lenient sentence for something which has ended an innocent life, and the likes of Gibson not getting any form of custodial sentence for what he did is baffling as well. It's not a deterrent.

TBF we all do little breaches of the rules, of course I meant fairly major crimes.
