With back to back away wins achieved - 51 points on the board after 35 is a minor miracle given some peoples viewpoints especially on TWTD with the season but there we go - that should be us fine.

Therefore, are we capable of doing anything at the other end? Unlikely. Sure, we've put back to back wins together ( both on the road ) with our first W W sequence since beating Forest + Derby.

5 unbeaten away is fantastic. Home is more the issue - given how we play, we're better set up to play on the road.

I've noticed since Mr Vickers joined us from Spurs, the most we've conceded in ANY given game is ONE GOAL. Superb at the back. Very happy with that figure, one goal a game at present is bare minimum a draw.

That's ultimately where I think this is going to end - I don't see us winning three on the spin. The blades are wobbling somewhat - IF we're going to do anything it's a fixture we need to be looking to win. We'll see.

Hope Muzzy is back for this / soon - McGoldrick / Dozzell / Bishop / Huws ALL out. Ridiculous. That's not counting Adeyemi. Such a shame.

3-5-2 appears the way we'll go again for this.

Assuming Carayol will be out or not fit to start - so perhaps Garner in. Seems Celina isn't the current flavour of the month.

Maybe Ward in for Hyam / or Gleeson. Don't see Lukey boy starting two in a row.

Looks the most obvious 1-1 draw I've seen for an age - however hoping for a lot more.

That sounds about right Westy, but if we manage to win that will make it three in a row and Mick will definitely have to go.

Remaining pessimistic, it seems to have worked for the past few weeks. 2-0 loss.

The next week will define our season.
Shef Utd, Hull and Bristol. 6 points or more and we are bang in the play off picture, 4/5 points and we're hanging by a thread, and anything less will be game over.
In typical Ipswich fashion, i think we'll get 5 points - we'll Beat either Hull or Sheff (but only one of them) and draw with Bristol.
As well as we are playing (i use the word "well" loosely), our style of play is not sustainable over a long period. We can't contain teams, and battle for 90 minutes and win every game - eventually the players will knacker themselves out.

    I'll predict:
    Sheff Utd - 2-1 win
    Hull 1-1 draw
    Bristol - 2 -2 draw

Think we'll win somehow., Having watched the blades a couple of times this season they knock the ball around with a lot more composure (and intent) than us, but expect we'll set up to nullify them and try and hit them on the counter or by a barrage into the box.

Another ugly 2-1 win, goals from Waggy and Ward (Bart having another good game to keep us in it)

Scowey, every single side in the division - even Burton do that over us! The latter absolutely - that's where we'll attempt to win the game.

One thing I must admit to finding a little weird with Mick - or perhaps it's what I'll try to explain in a minute....

He seems happy to nullify the opposition, determined to be 0-0 half time then perhaps up it last 20 of the game.... is his thought process - ' they'll be knackered / switch off by then / open for us to nick it AND if we do score ..... they won't be coming back ? ! '

There must be some thought process / logic behind this his end. It's not by chance.

Anyway, hoping we can nab it. C O Y B.

Out of interest, any season ticket holders left on here!?

Here's an eye-opener for you all. Man Utd 2-0 up at half time and all over the Pool. Do you know when United last lost at Old Trafford when 2 up at half time?

    1984 - against.....Ipswich who won 2-1!!

That's a fact that I take with me, along with other amazing games in those by-gone years. Many of which I was lucky to watch.

COYBs lets get at'em from the off, and give us lots to cheer about this afternoon.

Shame to hear Sears performance during the week hasn't deserved him a start upfront in a 2.

I think with the players at our disposal particularly in midfield 532 makes sense moving forwards

I like this line-up, quite attack-minded, and Freddie will come on and shred some stuff later on. Celina, on his day, is class.
And Iorfa too indicates a more forward looking defense.

Still predict a fair win 2-1, and most happy.

And on the plus side we now only have 5 defenders and 2 defensive midfielders in the team

Fairly boring first half which started with us playing some OK stuff and the Blades come into as the half progressed.
All to play for second half

Need another attack-minded player on now....not defensive shell please.

    Freddie, Garner or Ward

C'mon Mick show us your flair!
