Well, somebody had to .... 1. Ingram 2. Seri. 3. Turnout from 'ull (on a Friday night, and on Sky RB).
Seri Connolly Ingram Christie, Coyle Slater get special mentions for being totally ****e. Good game though and Sheff Utd are a good side at this level.
Seri - I thought he was the key to getting the ball moving, he also won a lot of balls in midfield, complete contrast to the Huddersfield game. Connolly - looked up for it, ran, tackled, harassed them all game. Didn’t have a great deal of help. Should be better against a lower team. Ingram - played well, unlucky with the goal, some great saves, especially the one that hit his right arm. The rest - Longman looked great on the right. Jones best game I’ve seen him in for a while. Tetteh, stupid. Tufan, seemed to have a lot of space, did little when he got it, not sure what role he’s meant to play when he comes on, doesn’t tackle, doesn’t really chase, passes short & seems to be only interested when he’s got a chance for glory, so not often. Everyone else, kind of bland game.
Seri, really put himself about. Greaves, until he went off injured. Ingram. ... Tetteh was good when he came on but allowed himself to be wound up, and they only did that because he was a threat. Connelly was decent too but goes down to easily. He could be an asset. Longman looked sharp when he came on too. In fact the second half subs worked until the sending off and I thought we were well on top at that that stage. Christie was poor. Also thought there goal looked offside from were we were. The linesman on that side was yards behind play and blowing for breath as early as it was. Mention for the 20 or so young City lads who stood there ground when faced by about 50 Sheff U who ran at them from behind after the game near that junction seen on the smoke bomb clip. So a good day/night out, spoilt by the result and I thought we deserved a point.
Seri - lovely distribution and calmness on ball Ingram - kept us in it Longman - made a big difference when he came on and should never have been dropped
