I know there are other threads further down (apologies to those posters) but it looks like this is virtually a done deal according to the BBC: http://bbc.in/P22VD3
Hmmm.... how competitive is the football in Israel? Well and good being prolific there but he didn't produce in the Bundesliga. If he didn't do it there I wonder what makes ML think he can do it in the Premier League? I'm certainly not questioning Laudrup's judgement but when you see the quality of players we have been linked with from abroad, I have to ask what makes Shechter so special? Anyone?
To me , what makes Shechter special is Laudrup wanting him . I get excited every time he brings someone in . If he's half as talented as Benayoun he'll be a very good player . Hope it is a done deal Aussie
The deal is done and expected to play tomorrow http://www.swanseacity.net/news/article/itay-shechter-305732.aspx? Hopefully another suitable piece added to the jig saw ,looking forward to tomorrows game ,probably much tougher opposition than Blackpool so I expect the starting 11 for next weeks game against QPR will feature heavily.
He's a real unknown, and that makes his arrival here a bit special. Hopefully he will slot in and make us all deliriously happy.
