Who here went to Shearers testimonial ? I had tickets but chose too go to work to impress the boss, didn't work though I was sacked a week later. I remember watching it on itv 4. Its always been my biggest regret as a toon fan. I've still got the un used ticket stubs too. Might be worth a few quid one day

I went, the match itself wasn't great but nobody cared. Great occasion. Don't worry mate, you'll get to go to Shola's soon enough :D

I was there, got a load of freebies. The match programmes were going for almost £100 quid on ebay shortly after the game finished. Gave one away but still got one as good as new.

The biggest highlight was the Celtic fans singing on the bank next to St James Metro Station and this random guy who was in the middle of them all fast asleep. Oh not to mention the fact they were singing 'we hate Souness more than you.'

The Celtic fans didn't realise that it was scripted that Shearer should score, some of them were moaning about it never being a penalty after the game.

I went in the away end with my dad who is a celtic fan. Loads of drunk tic fans were ragin and scraming "I've paid £35 and it's a fix" and the like. Great night it was.

Yeah the fact that Ferdinand took the worst looking dive ever and rarely (if ever) dived in his career was a bit of a give away, especially when they just basically gave us the equaliser.

Unbelievable experience really. All the little details were done to a tee. Also bought an extra programme for a fiver and sold it for nearly £100 later.

As has been said the football wasn't great but the atmosphere was amazing. Was like having a 37000 stadium again which shows how many corporate bodies are stuffed into football grounds now. Should sit the fans in the lower tiers and put the suits in the top. I remember seeing an England game there and a mexican wave went round but kept stopping in the middle of the Milburn stand. Took about 9 rounds of booing before enough joined in to carry it through. Went to the Spurs cup semi final at old trafford and a steward said he'd never seen the stand move like that before. Could see the upper tier bouncing. Blew him away the atmosphere.

What it was better than the 98 semi final, didn't think it was possible.
