Just found this pic online. Apparently it's our dressing room in 1939. No idea who the two players are but look at all the booze on the table just in front of the camera. Legends. :emoticon-0103-cool:
 
Hello fellow Toon fans! I see ToonSi has set up a new e-Bar on this forum to keep the tradition going. Well done ToonSi!

I just wanted to say that the old BBC 606 forum just has a couple of days left before closure.

So how about swinging over to the original Shearers e-Bar for a final farewell party. Would be great to see some old user names in there. Just click on the link below and come and give us a big send off. I'll get the beers in!

Anyone got a Kindle?

Thinking about getting the 3G/WiFi Kindle to cut back on the amount of books I own (moved with 8 boxes full) and also to get the daily download of the Times for the train.

Are they any good?

My friend has one and there pretty decent, but I think I would rather get an ipad (more apps, camera e.t.c.)
 
Got 4418 on my second go and ive been playing for about 20 mins since and can't get anywhere near it <laugh>

edit never mind, i can now stop and relax. got 5431 monkey metres. <party>
 
England vs Sri Lanka first test is getting really interesting guys in case you aren't following it. SL are 73-8 in their second innings trailing by 23 runs. With 28 overs still to play on the final day and england with an innings in hand there is a chance of a surprise victory for our boys! :)

Edit: Sri Lanka all out for 82, England win by an innings and 14 runs. Would never have imagined this result was possible yesterday the game had draw written all over it! :)
