Business sense! Only does a worthwhile trade on a matchday, yet unlike the bars inside the ground has to pay the usual day to bills etc... I would assume the business rates alone are more than the bar takes in a season.

 

That's not the point, it's a sign of respect to Shearer. He got a box for life and Shearers bar.

 

It is if it is making a loss!! He can be honoured in another way surely, but if the bar is losing money it cannot be sustained.
