http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...r-frame-replace-Nigel-Adkins-Southampton.html Daily Fail are reporting this on their front page. No chance at all I reckon, and if it did happen it would be extremely insulting to Adkins. Lazy reporting due to Shearer's past links with the club I should have thought.
I saw this and thought exactly the same. Only way we would go for shearer is if he was a number 2 to some one more experienced.
At any point Shearer takes a managers job, it will only be a stepping stone on the road to St James Park
Full marks to the Daily Fail -- they've finally got to a point where they've stopped taking themselves seriously!
It's lovely to read such a well-informed, and thoughtful article with plenty of evidence behind it to support the story. This on the other hand is total crap.
Think he'd have been more likely to join blackburn really. Wouldn't mind him as an assistant would be a great lift to the players especially the strikers to have a player of his quality at the club.
According to an article in today's Daily Mail about personal hygiene, most people have detectable amounts of **** on their hands at any given time. Nonsense, I thought. Then I realised it was probably true, as I'd just been holding a copy of the Daily Mail.
saying that Shearer is being looked at , I would not be happy at all with this , would anybody else be happy with this ? I accept this is speculation but hypothetically speaking would he work ? I think he would be out of his depth .
If the text is from someone as stupid as you (which it probably is seeing as they're texting you in the first place) then I wouldn't take much notice.
Also, if your text is from the Daily Mail, I would ignore that too: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...r-frame-replace-Nigel-Adkins-Southampton.html
Oh for the love of God. So this copper knows all about Cortese's thoughts and feelings does he? That really is laughable. please log in to view this image
Why would anyone swap an experienced manager for an inexperienced one? If (IF!) Adkins went, I'm sure we would get a manager with a proven record. Cortese has no sentimental link with our distant past (and I don't mean that in the derogatory way that others intend), so why Shearer?
