Apart from Cesar, you wouldn't rate any of our players...

Shearer was judging him as a striker. The Hoddle assessment was more spot on unfortunately , he needs to leave & play with better players.

Most of these pundits comments go over my head now. Nothing against Shearer but he never really says anything good about us and he also made comments about Remy joing us before the 'plastic scots'.
Although saying all that not many say good things about us because there are few good things to say?

Of course we are a easy target

More money than sense and bottom of the league I would like to see a few more on here wish to prove him wrong

They didn't like it last year as they were wrong

They have a different mind set to London if you study it carefully plus it's the BBC seriously think about that

They hate us they love to pick on the bottom sides ... It's easy stuff then to comment on what went wrong

last year they all jumped on the Man City bandwagon saying how brilliant it was etc ... Yet QPR made that happen by handing them the title and playing very well

I personally hate Shearer and jug ears but Lawerson was a very good player and a very nice bloke.

I can't imagine that pundits' failure to lavish praise on QPR has much to do with hatred.

How does that M'bia get away with no blame, every time I see him he's either missing a good goal scoring chance or losing posession in a dangerous area. Never hear a bad word about him though?

He wasn't good enough playing with better players... wasn't good enough when playing with Spurs and he just isn't good enough for the Premier League. Good in Championship, not good enough for Prem.

Bosingwa is a ****ing disgrace. He should never play for us again and be shipped out asap (even if a reverse premium has to be paid to move him on). DT, I know you are a fan, but surely even you cannot defend this mans continued utter lack of effort, care and dedication to his team.

I actually agreed with Shearer for once. To me all he did was point out Adel's continued reluctance to work and exploit any spaces to run into. A lot of forward momentum is lost through Adel. Taarabt has such ability he frustrates the hell out of me but I think we've been through this multiple times.

As for Mbia; great guy but he's bloody awful.

He's out of form at the mo, maybe he has a bad back from carrying this team. We are too easy to play against stop Taarabt you stop QPR, he's all we've got. Time for him to move on, he needs a new challenge and we need a new game plan.<ok>

I have been a great fan of Adel's but I have to admit he has done little in the premiership and sometimes I wonder if he has became a liability.

He is like a Mackie but with skill, but most of the time no end product.

Sure he has scored 4 goals, (that's not enough) and made some assists. However he has also lost the ball in key areas resulting in a goal for the other team.

I would say that a lot of other players in our team are just as bad or worse. I only mention him as I expected big things but he has been a real let down for me.

Usually I find Shearer's analysis to be completely stale. On this point, however, I think he was making some valid criticisms. Adel is taking up too many non-threatening positions where he can't hurt the opposition.

We need to get him into more forward positions where he can take on the last defender(s) - remember Arsenal at home last season?

That was the problem. We don't want playmakers running the channels.

Possibly a valid point about dropping too deep but that is the case with others in the same mould who are trying to influence the game.

We may need a overhaul again of course this isn't working but thats for the summer ... I still believe we have the players and our escape starts here. Bosingwa no seriously I like his composure and I am still certain that composure will win us games ... it looks lazy its isn't. After what has happened and the silly comments why does he make it back into the team? Fabio couldn't play maybe? Nedum Injured? i doubt it and he will start again because he is excellent going forward and was not at fault yesterday at all like some have said already who do you blame this just shows yet again how daft we are thinking ... i read a good point about Mbia who looks at times a liability yet we pick on a player that has won a lot in the game and did a great job keeping Nani under wraps. Ask yourself this who would you pick currently to beat United? City? held them Chelsea? beat them Spurs? held them.
I agree that if you stop Adel you stop our creativity as this player can change a game. I still think our next games have always been the focal point and I am willing to bet that you will hear this week. I can not agree that we need to just simply roll our sleeves up and get stuck in that is form the old game it's not like this at this level however I fully expect us to push every team from now on ... we start next week and have to get behind the team and have to win only when it's not possible will we truly know we were not good enough

Can't wholly agree with this. Adel has scored some important goals because he was high up the pitch - Cardiff away and Arsenal at home are two that spring to mind. Running off the ball doesn't necessarily running the channels for the sake of it - it can also isolate a player defensively leading to Adel creating or shooting. Perhaps the coaches need to earn their wages telling him so.

Adel had his worst game this season by far. However, Shearer said that he's lazy, which simply hasn't been the case this season. He should be played centrally in a 3 behind the striker to get the best out of him imo. He started on the left yesterday and was then pushed up behind Remy when Hoilett came on. He needs to be central and further forward more often than not.
    The problem is two fold:
    1) The opposition know that if they stop him they stop us (generally speaking)
    2) We have no one else who can make things happen, so Taarabt goes deep looking for the ball more than he should.
