QPR and Paris Saint-Germain chasing £2.5m City winger Wright-Phillips QPR and Paris Saint-Germain have joined the race for Manchester City winger Shaun-Wright Phillips. The big-spending French club have offered £2.5million for Wright-Phillips, who is also wanted by Bolton, Stoke and Wigan. However, QPR have also followed up their enquiry for City's Nedum Onuoha with a £3million offer for the defender and have bid £4m for West Ham midfielder Scott Parker ahead of expected new investment from Tony Fernandes. Blackburn and Everton remain keen on Onuoha also. Wright-Phillips would prefer to stay in the north-west but knows he would get better wages as PSG. Bolton - his preferred destination - cannot afford his current £45,000 a week salary. However, Bolton do plan to increase offers for Liverpool striker David Ngog and Rangers winger Gregg Wylde. Meanwhile, Roque Santa Cruz's dad says he is willing to drop down to the Championship if necessary. Aproniano Cruz said: 'There are important teams like Leeds United, but his future will be decided by Manchester City.' City striker John Guidetti, 19, is due to join Feyenoord on loan. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2027204/QPR-Paris-Saint-Germain-chasing-Manchester-City-winger-Shaun-Wright-Phillips.html? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2027204/Fernandes-closes-QPR-takeover-West-Ham-reject-4m-bid-Parker.html?
This is great. Would like Onuoha (seems like clubs are circling without making solid offers so might be feasible). I'd definitely welcome Parker or SWP but think they might be out of reach. At least we're all back to optimistic ways again.
