Posh have completed the signing of Striker Shaun Jeffers today. No fee involved as he was a free agent. The 21 year old was at Coventry for 4 years and also had loan spells at Cheltenham, Cambridge and Tamworth. He made 6 appearances in the Championship and has played 22 matches at League 2 level, his strike rate of 2 goals in 36 matches is nothing to get excited about but Darren Ferguson and the coaching staff must have seen some potential as he has spent the previous 2 weeks on trial at Posh. In the Reserves/Developement squad match against Stevenage played at the Posh training ground, a match Posh won 2 - 0, he scored a goal and was instrumental in the second. Clearly signed as back-up to Britt and Tyrone - let us hope the Posh coaching team can work their magic on him and he improves as CMS/Mclean/Gayle did.
Yep, and poshpete is coming back from Nottingham for the game as well in a bid to push the crowd over 8,000
