Just seen this folks: Shanghai Daily F1 To summarise, the drivers last year appear to have complained about some corners being bumpy, and the asphalt was subsiding slightly, work has been carried out to rectify this, and the track has been re-approved by Charlie Whiting. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like its been a major re-profiling of the corners mentioned, but they've been resurfaced. I think thats a bit of a shame really, as it would have been a good opportunity to try and improve the circuit. I can't find any images/comments about the new corners, so I don't think they've changed. Has anyone else seen anything else on this?
I dont think the track needs changing so its good news to me, its a great track with good overtaking opportunities which is lacking on a lot of other circuits. Though the 2007 pit lane moment will always stick in my head, if only it wasnt such a sharp left hander we wouldve had a different world champion.
