About to sign for Hull for a measly £4million.

I worry, does anyone at our club watch football? This lad would be ****ing ideal for us & that price is not even a gamble.

    Top signing by Bruce IMO.

    Isn't it £5 million plus add-ons?

Even at that price, it is a good deal, why are we not in for him ? Does Gus have someone better lined up ?

I read £4million, but even at 5 plus add-ons, which obviously are success related, surely we should look?

The lad is direct & a proper pain in the arse, he's quick, and good in the air, I think he'd bag a few for us, no question.

I've nowt against the lad but I'm sure Poyet's considered him and decided against.

It appears Hull have gone for him after having a £7 million bid for Fletcher knocked back.

Sunderland wanted £10 million which at least confirms that he's going.

I think we need to confirm out PL status before signing too many players tbh ........... it's pointless bringing in more like Graham, like MON did, just to make it look as if we're taking action.

I agree on that Smug, but we need goals, the goals for column says it all.

I'm not against Borini being given a 5 game run mind, I think it's gonna come for him soon.

I will be most disappointed if Fletcher goes cheaply

The money's of less interest to me than finding a better replacement ........... I've no idea what the problem is with Fletcher but, once someone is obviously off, I can't wait to get them gone.

If we have someone lined up then we may need to punt Fletcher first to free up the money and wages.

Whatever happens I hope we don't get to February with a player who's not up for the fight.

Is this not a simple case of Fletcher is off form?
Had no preseason and came into a team which lets face facts havent been particularly good for most of the season...?
Ridiculous how quickly player loyalties disappear when a player isnt on form

However the hull tigers official twitter account has stated they havent bid for him...
Hes out of contract in summer so £4m is daft money

I doubt Sunderland would be trying to sell him if that was the case.

    Who says we are?
Has poyet/de fanti came out directly and said we are trying to offload?
Or are you purely going off journos...?

im certainly not keen on letting fletcher go.

think hes a top striker and im always more confident with him in the team.

Under our new style we should be able to make more chances for him, hes just lacking a little in confidence but he still scored against cardiff. Think hes better when paired with altidore as he takes the physical blows that fletcher cannot

Yes .......... just like we all do, along with 'leaks' from clubs/agents/players etc.

Whatever the case I'd bet the media know more than anyone on here, it's just a case of reading between the lines, evaluating the information then making wild guesses <laugh>

Some do yes, the ones that do their research such as the Times/Guardian/SSN, the red headed newspapers like the sun/mirror/fail all just spout nonsense 80% of the time
If it has come from an sunderland echo journo/safc official or from a reporter from the above more trusted sources then fair enough

But until hes gone we should get behind him! Not just lose all loyalties because hes a bit out of form

    My position is clear.

I have the same loyalty to most players as they have to us, which is very little.

I cheer anyone in a Red & White shirt irrelevant of their form as long as they put in some effort.

I'd also say that even 'the red headed newspapers like the sun/mirror/fail' aren't as bad as made out and 80% is too high a percentage.
They report news/rumours/gossip from their sources whether they be deliberate leaks from agents/players/clubs or whatever.

Not all transfer possibilities come off but that doesn't mean there's no truth in them.

Has 3 goals this season - same number as Fletcher - no point replacing Fletcher with someone like this - he's also a diver and constant whinger - would get nothing playing for us... I don't really think he'd solve our problems personally but just my opinion. He hasn;t looked half the player he did last year with Lukaku there but, as I say, just my opinion.

£4m is too much for a player out of contract in the summer. West Brom won't want him still there come Feb 1st so better to sit tight and wait till the window is closing. I reckon they'd let him go for a million or 2 rather than lose him for zero.

I do like him but he's a bit of an agbonlahor i.e inconsistent.

To be clear, I reckon every one of us would love & back a back on song Fletch, facts are, it does look like he wants away.

If we keep him, and he starts scoring, nobody will be happier than me.

I'd swap Fletcher for Long, no problem.
