Bitta transfer news that doesnt involve a frenchie.

    From the Irish Mail

Shane Long, Newcastle's NO.1 domestic target and have been very keen for months, is supposedly set to join Alan Pardew at Tyne Side, with the only other manager interested being Mick McCarthy of Wolves interested in the striker as a partner for Doyle.
However, injury hit Doyle might be set to join either Liverpool (****s.) or Arsenal.

Interesting stuff, unfortunately not even a bit of gossip of us signing Aiden McGeady.

Decent player and know's where the net is but we'd have to play to his strengths, I also think we'd need someone up top with either of then. They are very similar players and I wouldn't mind getting either of them, but I'd want another striker and only want them at the right price. No doubt stupid amount of money will be said about them.

Would rather have Long out of the two of them.

Long for me if I there is a choice, but as with others I don't see him as a first choice starter.
