http://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/news/articles/shamrock-rovers-venue-confirmed-080911.html The Club has today been informed by UEFA that our Match Day 6 Europa League Group Stage fixture against Shamrock Rovers will take place at the Dublin club's Tallaght Stadium. We await confirmation on our allocation and will make an announcement as soon as details are finalised. -------------- Thought it was supposed to be at the Aviva Stadium??
A real shame, I would've looked into getting tickets at the Aviva if it had been there. No real chance now tbh. There's probably some concert there at the same time, or an equally stupid reason.
10,000 capacity? Not even that small, really. I thought that Rovers wanted to keep it at their home ground? Sounds like they actually want to try and progress, rather than treat it as a money making scheme. Good on them.
I was using Wikipedia Ensil and I just assumed that they'd manage to get that right. They sort of did. The stadium only has two permanent stands and they've used temporary seating on two occasions, taking the capacity to it's highest against Real Madrid in a friendly. It reached a capacity of 10,900 for that game. Not sure how UEFA would feel about that being repeated. Not happy, I'd have thought.
Well Lets hope they do, I'm angling for a ticket (oop... thats not an excuse for any fish related punning by the way!)
