Im hoping the kind generous people on not 606 will help me with my charity fundraising. This will give my identity away but I'm happy for that even if I only raise £1 from the good people who visit this site. A good friend of my wife and me unfortunately died a few weeks ago of a stroke at only 50 years old. I have also had a relative die after having a stroke and therefore wanted to raise money for the Stroke Association. On the 28th July I will be tackling the Yorkshire Tough Mudder being a 10 mile course with 20 obsticles which will be a real challenge for me. I do like my fitness but I would have thought that a half Mudder would be a challenge enough for me but as Ive chosen to do this for charity and asking people to donate money I thought I should make it something that is a proper challenge and that I even have a chance of failing at. The Stroke Association are the only national charity solely concerned with providing support and care for those people who have been affected by stroke. Your support will help them to work towards a world where there are fewer strokes and those affected by stroke get the help and support they need. None of the money raised will go towards my entry fee/training or travel as I want to raise as much for the charity as possible. I have been told to post this on Facebook but I have never done any form of social networking as I think its a waste of time in fact the only site I post on is this so please help me even if its only £1 I will be really grateful for anything anybody can give. Training is going well but I've still got a long way to go before I'm confident I can do this. I hope the link works https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/martin-tuttle Thank you for anything you may give TigerMarv
Done . Good luck with your challenge for this worthy cause. A stroke took away my old man. RIP Dad and Marv's friend.
Thanks Ernie and if anyone could give me tips on tackling tough mudder or what training is best that would be great
Great cause and will be donating tomorrow when I am back. The only bit of advise is if you are a bit over weight lose some pounds before you do it, the lighter you are the better.
