I would take Ghana's back line including their sweeper right now and put them into our squad if I could. Avram Grant did a tremendous job of coaching that team, that was able to completely shackle the likes of Yaya Touré, Gervinho, Wilfred Bony, Salomon Kalou and Doumbia of Côte D'Ivoires. Ghana should've won in normal time if they could have just had better finishing. That Christian Atsu is deadly on the right, but Ghana needed a couple more of those down the middle but couldn't find the winner. It's a cruel game sometimes. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/af...a-Cup-Nations-keeper-Boubacar-Barry-hero.html Ghana 0-0 Ivory Coast AFCON 2015 (8-9 pens): The Elephants clinch Africa Cup of Nations with keeper Boubacar Barry the hero Ghana's John Boye appeared to headbutt Eric Bailly on the hour mark but was left unpunished The match ended goalless after 90 minutes and went to extra-time to decide the eventual winner However the teams remained in deadlock and the final was contested on penalties The pair competed in a penalty shoot-out in the 1992 final as Ivory Coast won with 24 penalties taken and 21 scored By JONNY SINGER IN BATA PUBLISHED: 17:14 EST, 8 February 2015 | UPDATED: 19:15 EST, 8 February 2015 Ivory Coast won their first Africa Cup of Nations since 1992 in dramatic fashion, beating Ghana 9-8 on penalties. Wilfried Bony smashed his spot-kick against the crossbar but the Elephants recovered in the shoot-out, eventually taking the title when goalkeeper Boubacar Barry saved from his opposite number Razak Braimah and then stepped up to score. It was an exciting end to a game that had been anything but, with Premier League stars Bony and Yaya Toure unable to create enough to win the game in 90, or even 120 minutes.
