View attachment 26579 vs View attachment 26580 Wednesday October 2nd, Donbass Arena, 7:45pm Kick off Sky sports 4 Our toughest game in our group - when the draw was made, we said that this would be our most difficult match to date, they've got a lot of brazilians in their team, they've beaten Arsenal and Chelsea in the last few seasons, i'[m sure if you offered our fans a point now, they would take it. Player/s to look out for - Bernard, Arsenal and Porto were interested in him but he chose to join the Ukraine champions, he;s skilful and scores as well.
one of the rare sensible manu bloke like you should know, shaktar is not half as good as last year with the entire crux gone.. leverkusen lost some of their key players and very weak.. Society might be the only decent team in your group.. other 3 are to make up the numbers
Only West Brom? All season perhaps..... I reckon you have to play the mighty Evans P.S. I actually quite Like Evans, at least he tries hard and usually gives 100%. Unlike Rio, Smalling, Jones etc.
David Moyes will hold a press conference at the Donbass Arena this evening at approximately 17:15 BST. @carras16 will join him. #mufc Training this morning: De Gea, Johnstone, Lindegaard; Büttner, Evans, Evra, Ferdinand, Jones, Rafael, Smalling, Vidic; Anderson, Carrick, Cleverley, Fellaini, Giggs, Nani, Valencia, Young; Hernandez, Kagawa, Rooney, van Persie, Welbeck
We should postpone our width for now. It clearly is not working. Lets play a midfield trio of Carrick, Fellaini and Cleverly/or anyone. And RvP flanked by Rooney and Kagawa. That team is solid as well as fluid. We can introduce width if it doesn't work. But it should against lesser teams like Shaktar, with due respect, otherwise we are doomed.
And one more thing, Fellaini should be playing as a box-to-boxmidfielder,not as a poor man's Carrick. We wanted him for his physical attributes and that's what we want to see, in the thick of it all.
It would be interesting to see us go for something like this. I was chatting to a mate after the West Brom game and we were discussing if it would work to play with no width (apart from Evra/Rafael) in the odd game, although it would be very much against the Manchester United style. ----------De Gea---------- Rafael--Rio/Evans--Vidic--Evra ---Fellaini--Carrick--Kagawa--- --RVP---Hernandez---Rooney-- Or stick Cleverley/Jones in midfield and move Kagawa next to RVP and Rooney.
