Since he came on for Harper v Everton last season his confidence has grown and grown, and he now looks like the real deal between the sticks. Yes, he needs to work on some things still, but his instinctive shot stopping is great when I've seen him.

Once he's got his positioning sorted out, he'll be a top class 'keeper. In terms of shot-stopping and reaction saves he's fantastic, but he doesn't deal very well with set pieces.

Mind, our defence deserves a hell of a lot of credit for the clean sheets too, Taylor and Coloccini in particular have been brilliant.

Ever since that Palermo (*amazing*) game he's shown that he's had enormous promise whenever he's been called upon.

When he first began to get a decent run in the first team some of his frailties as a keeper were exposed but over time I've seen constant improvements from him.

He'll make mistakes as all players will but he comes back still full of confidence.

Great player for us for the long term.

Im just glad we are giving him a chance. Theres so many good Premier GKs out there not given a chance. But as soon as the chance came Krul grabbed it like the save against Palermo

Some of you may think I am jumping the gun but I think he is the best goalkeeper in the PL with respect to shot stopping. Much better than De Gean etc!

He needs settling in but his long shot saves are rubbish. All wed need to do is tell Cabaye to shoot on sight and tell Ben Arfa to look for rebound

I only hope the signing of Rob Elliot wasn't to pave the way for the possible departure of Krul in the next couple of windows :(

My opinion echos the other posts on here already.

There is no doubting that TK is a great shot stopper and thoroughly deserves the praise that he is receiving. As BGD has said, he needs to work on set peices, but this can be one of the most difficult areas in goalkeeping, especially if it is a freekick or corner that is whipped in to the danger area with pace.

He also needs to work on kicking with his right foot as this seems quite weak technically, which is strange for a dutch keeper. But having said this, the lad needs to be given games now so that he can gain more experience and develop into the superb keeper that he is threatening to become.

I see him as Forster's replacement as 2nd/3rd keeper. As much as I like Forster, I don't think he'll get playing time here.

Krul has become insanely good since the start of last season. He seemed unsure at times and it felt safer to have Harper, but especially this season he has been incredible. Hope he keeps that form up.

I can see him heading to a big club in a few years, depending how we are doing, of course.
He's a top-quality keeper and i'm glad we have him between the sticks. I remember the Palermo game well, and even then i think most thought he was something special.
He's made a couple of mistakes, but it takes a great keeper with confidence to forget and carry on. Krul's 23 so he has a good 15 years to learn, that only means he can get better, quite remarkable as he's already great.

He'll have a sticky patch at some stage. I don't mean one mistake, I mean a few games in a row. I just hope when it comes along the fans show common sense. Hart went through the exact same thing but Mancini was resolute in retaining him despite having the excellent Given as an option. He knew long term they'd benefit. I think Harper is still every bit as good a keeper as a Krul at present. Not as a good a shot stopper but better on crosses and other areas. But I also think Krul long term will far outstrip the levels Harper has reached. And that's saying something because Harps has been excellent for a long time now. I have no doubt he'll be seen as a very saleable asset in the future but hopefully with Man U putting faith in De Gea, Man City in Hart, Arsenal in Szczęsny, the competition for his signature will be reduced.

I guess this ends the Krul vs Forster arguments! (For the record, I voted Krul ;))

He'll be one of the best in the business one day. And we'll be able to say, it was us who gave him that chance <ok>
