How many loyal SAFC fans feel that we are being shafted by our new Chief Exec at SAFC?Since he has been appointed, our club has signed no players that have cost any money, wants to lay-off a shed-load of back-room staff and still hopes to stay in the Premier League.
We've been run into debt for the best part of a decade and now some poor **** is trying to work with all of that debt. He isn't shafting us. We've already been shafted.
Exactly this, if anything he deserves praise for getting stuck into it. I don't like the situation one little bit but it's thanks to past mistakes not present.
You can't blame the current team (exec or manager) for the state our club is in, they've inherited these problems from past tossers who obviously didn't have a clue how a football club should be run. I know he's not in the same league as our current owner (financially) but I very much doubt a certain Mr Murray would have let this happen to the club. If we survive, and that's a massive IF, I reckon we'll see drastic changes in the summer.
I've been impressed by what I've heard about Bain. He seems to be trying to sort out the obvious problems at the club. The job losses are an uncomfortable situation obviously. If the club needs to take such action and can't afford to spend big on transfers it is further evidence that the people who were in charge previously didn't know what they were doing. Rather than shafting us, the new chief exec might actually be saving us.
He's been given the job to try and improve the finances. Whether you agree with what he's doing or nit he seems to be doing his job. If we go down we'll pretty much clear the 9th highest wage bill in the country. With a few big sales and the parachute payments there could be a tidy budget for the manager next season should we drop. An opportunity to totally rebuild the club and playing squad. I actually think it's a more appealing job if we go down.
Short is the cause of this he started bringing poor managers in who bought poor players in and it has continued.
