DAVID MOYES has held showdown talks with Robin van Persie over the striker’s fitness.

Manchester United’s physios have told Moyes last season’s top scorer*IS*ready to play.

But the Dutch star, 30, claims he still needs more time out.

The clear-the-air meeting between the pair took place in Moyes’ office at the Carrington training ground — and it comes after months of unrest surrounding the former Arsenal ace.

Rooney is apparently still not fully fit but this could be disastrous!

Guessing that's not part of the article :)

I don;t think it's disastrous at all - one of their star players is not willing to play even though the physio's say he's fully fit - no disaster for me!

If Arsenal did sign him they could win the league! I'm sure Rooney or Van Persie will be involved at some point tomorrow. If they are subs and come on it means we are doing well :)

Having a player in their ranks who doesn't seem to give a toss is not a disaster in my eyes..

Anyone know how long he's been out for?
He had a history of lengthy absences at Arsenal & even if he does play is he gonna be a bit ring rusty.
