Morning all!! Two points for discussion today. 1) Should Leeds go out and sign foreign 16-year olds and import them into our Academy. We know that clubs like Scum, Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal for example have youth teams that are rotten with foreign kids. It's their way of getting over the distance rule, and anyway if they wanted English kids they can take them at any time from lower division clubs. Would we like a few French, Spanish and Italian young 'uns, or are we just interested in local kids? Worth a thought, what could the foreign kids be sold for either to Prem clubs or back to European clubs? 2) Will Scum win anything at all under Moyes? If he can't deliver, how long will they persevere with him? After all, they did say it was a carefully planned appointment, he's there for the long term and they will give him time. I think they will win nothing this season, which will ramp up the pressure on their board. Even better, two seasons outside the top four and Moyes becomes a very costly mistake. This is the moment the other 91 league clubs have been waiting for ... how will Scum cope without Red Nose at the helm? Will they be forced to bring the idiot out of retirement? Going to be fascinating, but it seems Moyes is already feeling the pressure under a huge weight of expectation. Come on Leeds, stuff the Wendies please!!
How are ya Billy Firstly, I don't care what nationality our "young'ens" are. If they are good enough then I would like to see them in the academy, if there are better teens overseas then I see no problem with getting some in, if the local kids are good enough they will still be there and progress through as they have done. Secondly, I really hate to say it but I think scum made a good appointment with Moyes and I really do see him being a success there, he's too good a manager to fail. The thing that I have found interesting though is that he just doesn't have the same draw and thats why I think they have struggled to make signings. Players wanted to go and play for red nose but Moyes is a name that foreign footballers don't find as familiar so I think they will need to work harder in transfer windows. Also, why is there no match thread?
Same her, don't care where we get players from really once they are up to the challenge. As for scum finishing outside top four, there's not a cats chance in hell of that happening. Nearest challengers still miles behind them. Worst they can possibly finish is third. Arsenal and Liverpool no better than last season
There is a match thread Josh: http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/224788-Leeds-United-vs-Sheffield-Wednesday-Match-Thread Also, Morning all I don't really care where our players come from as long as they're good. I think Moyes will do pretty well actually, don't think they'll get the title, but they won't be out of the top 4 for me.
