Ever wondered what "pernicious, callous, cruel and above all spurious" really means. It means there is a room put aside for you by the BBC where you can carry on your vile acts.
The BBC has to come under investigation at some time. All these people who "knew it was going on" but did nothing want locking up with all these aging old C celebrity perverts who couldn't keep their hands to themselves.

Thing is those who did blow the whistle were ignored generally it seems to be that these "celebs" were deemed untouchable, the police and cps have as much to answer to as the bbc.

You have to remember this was a very different era we forget that in our information rich era

I am sure many of us have looked lustfully at a pretty ' 18 year old ' and then felt a bit guilty later when you find out she is only 15 but a 9 year old!! FFS what is a matter with these people.

I just can't believe I felt a tinge of sympathy for him when he walked out of the police station and pleaded his innocence. I thought he was just someone who had had sex with a teenager. Its no accident when their are so many and so young.
And then the twat thinks it is OK because he has said he is sorry.

I switched onto the national News this morning on my way to work and the headline was a story about a Norwich man who had indecently assaulted 2 young girls (7 & 8) years old at the back of his allotment. He was later found guilty in court of both offences and when the judge passed sentence he said that he had to take into account this man's 'right to a family life' and so only gave him an 18 month suspended sentence! <grr> Doesn't it make your blood boil? This no good scumbag who has taken away the childhoods of two young innocent girls gets off virtually scott free so that he can enjoy his right to a family life! With complete twats like this Judge no wonder this country is in a right bloody mess. He has basically sent out a green light to all kiddy fiddlers in this country! If I was the judge I would have ordered that the low-life be castrated! <ok>

Quite agree JWM. Judges don't seem to take into consideration the 'rights' of the victim.

His wife had written a letter to the Judge pleading with him not to send her husband to jail as it would result in them losing their house etc etc... So fecking what? Surely he must have known that he risked prison for doing these disgusting acts in the first place! These poor girls and their families must be absolutely heartbroken and this pathetic 'punishment' has just made things even worse for them. Sorry to bring this up on here but I am so annoyed and disgusted by this. What would we be feeling if this happened to one of our kids!

My wife would have written to the judge to tell him to lock me up and throw the key away!

Why the Judge arrived at this sentence simply beggars belief! Isn't it a bit ironic that in the week of Stuart Hall and Bill Roache this judge has basically let this guy off with a slap on the wrist for offences that are much worse!

Who is going to be the next one then? when are we going to see some non-media people questioned (i guess there has been Max Clifford), as it will go outside of the BBC/ITV

I see the Corrie chap has streniously denied his charges, i guess watch this space!

Be careful here, from a legal point of view it is not good to write down the names of people that you suspect "may" have done something wrong and broadcast it publicly on a forum. It can bite you in the arse.

JWM I was referring to Max's post asking: "who is going to be the next one then?"

On the OP it is an utter disgrace that this sort of vile behaviour was tolerated at the BBC by so many concerning so many for such a long period of time. Every morning we hear of yet another celeb being questioned about a rape or an assualt on a minor. Trouble is that as the like of Hall are in their 80's they will not be alive long enough to suffer a decent sentance.

ON JMW's point how can a judge give a perverted child-molester a suspended sentance unless it is suspended from a rope? The problem is that by letting this creep back into the community it risks re-offence or some family members finding him, giving him the kicking he rightly deserves and then going to prison in his stead. You do have to question what planet some of our judiciary are on.
