In the latest press conference in Seville, club sporting director Ramon Rodriguez has told reporters that on-loan Queens Park Rangers midfielder Stephane M’Bia will not be returning to the club next season.

The 28-year-old has spent the past season on loan at Sevilla, joining the club following QPR’s relegation from the Premier League in 2013.

The defensive midfielder went on to make 30 appearances for the Spanish outfit in all competitions, helping the club finish fifth in La Liga and triumphing in the Europa League.

His performances garnered much praise, and when it became apparent that he would walk away from QPR at the end of his contract this summer, many had predicted that he would move to Sevilla permanently.

M’bia, however, has publicly announced his ambition to play for a Champions League team next season, suggesting that he'd love to play under Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho.

“I would like to play in the Champions League. I feel honoured to be a part of Sevilla’s Europa League project, but I want to step up and win something more important like the Champions League.” He said, quoted by the Spanish press El Desmarque.

“My dream is to be coached by Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho and hopefully one day that will become a reality.”

His interest and ambition in playing in Europe's top competition has therefore led Sevilla to pull out of a potential deal, with the club instead set to move on to other targets.

As for M'bia, whilst turning his back on Sevilla could see him lose European football altogether next season, his reputation in England holds in tact and there is sure to be a number of Premier League clubs eyeing up his signature this summer.

Who needs contraception when you have QPR loan players / clubs, pulling out of deals!

Why does everyone pull out of deals with our hopefully ex players?
Because Hughes paid too much for them and now they think everyone will pay that rate .................. not to mention ( as listed above ) some of them open their big mouths at precisely the wrong time.

Surely its going to be as painful as plucking butt hairs, to get rid of some the deadwood.

Can't say I'm surprised by this one

Clubs are always grateful to take them on loan but when there's a fee to be paid there's always second thoughts

Really hope we can shift him because I can't stand the way he plays. Complete moron.

Yes, I'm amazed at the attitude of some the players we've signed over the last couple of years. Real 'couldn't give a toss' attitude and 'life is all about me' ........ instead of the team.
Now its 'I dream of Genie' .......... sorry, Jose Mourinho.

For a team sport, there are many self-centered individuals.

I doubt Sevilla would want him after that quote.

"I feel honoured to be a part of Sevilla’s Europa League project, but I want to step up and win something more important like the Champions League."

It's only a month since they won it and he's already pissed on their Europa Cup shaped cornflakes by saying it's not all that important.

Enjoyed M'bia myself - good to have a few characters about the place. And he is a good player, even if erratic. His defensive work and pass for Remy's goal of the season was excellent. I'll be happy if he stay with us.
