Seven goals in two games with no reply, who's calling for Lovell's head now? Scally clearly listened to my message, sack Lovell and you might as well sack yourself. What a performance, what a team, if we are relegation fodder then i need another beer
Seven goals in two games and no one wants to comment M.O.M for me, Fuller, completely dominated his position and soaked up the early attacks by Fleetwood with ease. I was amazed that Joey Barton didn't try to switch flanks with the attacks. Seeing Hanlan getting the early goal was a delight to watch, and twice (3rd goal) during the game we seemed to soak up the pressure before hitting the back of the net again. We were very clinical at what we were doing, and it seemed quite strange, something i can't even really remember from Gills sides of the past, maybe because every area of the team were doing their job properly. I just felt, if we are relegation fodder, then i would like someone else to show me a team that scored seven goals across two games in a season without reply and were relegated! So how come we had such a brilliant start, then it all went wrong, only to come right again? My suspicion is the answer to that lay with RCC and probably why Scally had the wake up call to sort out the pitch. 300-400k for a pitch when the season is under way, seems a hell of a lot of money for a club who's penny jar is empty, however, those last six points have repaid that money already in part, and if we do keep out L1 status on the back of results like this then it will be repaid with interest. Eaves is just scoring with ease, but let's not get carried away with one man, this is a team and as my mate pointed out to me at the game our goals are coming from throughout the team, and i even avoided mentioning Cody in reply Great performance yesterday, and this aging supporter went home a very happy man, or was that the beer
